A Flexible, Filmmaker-Focused Framework
Now in its 16th year, the Underground Cinema Film Awards continues to celebrate the very best in independent filmmaking from Ireland and around the world.
Originally founded as a platform to honour short films, the awards have grown steadily to include independent features, which now form a vital part of the programme. In response to the increasing number of high-quality feature submissions, we’re excited to announce a refined category structure for 2025 that better reflects the diversity and scale of the work we receive.
