Are you passionate about independent cinema? Do you love meeting creative individuals from around the world? If so, we have an incredible opportunity for you! The 14th Underground Cinema Film Festival is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help make this year's event a smashing success.
From September 8th to the 10th, the prestigious Royal Marine Hotel will be transformed into a hub of artistic expression and cinematic wonder. As a volunteer, you'll have a chance to connect with like-minded individuals, immerse yourself in outstanding independent films, and even meet the talented filmmakers themselves.

We'll be reviewing applications throughout the summer and will be in touch with selected volunteers. Please note that due to the limited number of positions available, not all applications will be successful. However, we genuinely appreciate every submission and the interest shown in supporting our festival.

Seeking volunteer official film festival photographer(s) to join our team! You'll have the opportunity to work closely with the festival director and social media coordinator, capturing captivating moments and showcasing the festival's essence through your lens. It's a fun and rewarding experience where you'll meet incredible people while building your photography portfolio.
Front of House
We are currently in search of front-of-house volunteers for our upcoming film festival, including our final event, the UC Comic Con. This is an incredible opportunity to network, connect with like-minded individuals, and be a part of a dynamic team. As a volunteer, you will have the privilege of viewing some of the finest indie films while ensuring the smooth operation of our festival. Join us for an unforgettable experience, contribute to the success of the event, and be surrounded by passionate film enthusiasts.
Social Media
We're on the lookout for passionate film festival social media co-coordinators! Join us in promoting the festival both in the lead-up and during the event. Collaborate closely with the festival director and photographer to create engaging content and spread the excitement far and wide. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of the festival's digital presence and make a lasting impact.
Voluneteer Comic Con Coordinator
Are you a passionate fan of all things comic, cosplay, and pop culture? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where creativity and organisation come together? We're seeking a talented Comic Con Coordinator to join our team.
Responsibilities
Exhibitor Liaison
Be the main point of contact for exhibitors leading up to the event, ensuring clear communication, addressing inquiries, and providing support as needed.
Exhibitor Set-Up
Organise and coordinate exhibitor set-up, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for all participants
Front of House Management
Oversee the front of house team, ensuring , smooth operations, and a welcoming atmosphere for all attendees.
Cosplay Expertise
Cosplay may become part of the festival this year, a decision is yet to be made, so this element is important. Utilise your experience and knowledge in the world of cosplay to enhance our event. and to contribute innovative ideas to elevate the experience.
Event Enhancement:
Brainstorm and propose exciting events and activities that complement the Comic Con theme, such as talks, guest speakers, workshops, and interactive experiences.
Requirements

Previous experience in event coordination or management, preferably in the realm of comic conventions or pop culture events.

Strong organisational and communication skills to effectively liaise with exhibitors, guests, and team members.

Passion for and knowledge of cosplay, including experience with cosplay competitions.

Creative mindset with the ability to generate fresh ideas and suggestions for event enhancements.
