Blending absurdist humour with sharp social commentary, MURPHY vs CHRISTMAS is a modern parable about truth, authority and the power of compassion. Eoin Murphy, a 49-year-old disillusioned avant-garde artist who values truth above all else, is asked by his six-year-old daughter whether Santa Claus is real. He tells her the truth leaving her crushed. When she shares this with her classmates, Eoin is called in by her teacher, who reveals he used a Santa-themed billboard to reassure the now-upset children. Furious at this manipulation, Eoin retaliates by purchasing his own billboard directly beneath it, declaring: 'SANTA CLAUS DOES NOT EXIST'.
