The 9th  Underground Cinema Awards

So thats it!  The end of our 9th season and what an incredible season it has been this year.  Our panel of judges really have their work cut out for themselves this year.

The judges have been going through all the selected submissions since the start of the year and they are in the process of selecting the films they feel should be nominated for an award this year.

For those of you who are new to the Underground Cinema Awards, the nominations will be announced directly after the program above has finished.  If you decide to join us on the night we look forward to seeing you, if you can't make it along we will post the full list of nominees up on the website and on our social media pages.  

There are five nominees in each category.  To the right you will see the full list of categories for 2018

With regard to the awards themselves, the awards will be presented at our annual award giving ceremony in the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire in November 2018 which is a ticketed event. Tickets for the event go on sale as soon as the full list of nominees are announced. Tickets include a four course dinner, the awards ceremony and aftershow party. Nominees interested in attending must purchase their own tickets. if a nominee cannot attend and happens to win an award then we will ensure that the award gets to the winner shortly after the awards ceremony.
